SENSITIVE SKIN? WHY NATURAL IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR YOU

We’ve seen them all before – even the biggest brands and names in skin care and lotions offer a ‘sensitive’ range – but just how effective are they?  This, of course, not only varies from person to person, but you have to bear in mind that even the ‘purest’ of products on the chemists’ shelves are likely to possess some form of chemical combination within the mixture.  There are brands and products which do offer next to no chemical ingredients, but if you suffer from sensitive skin and are in need of creams or serums that are kind to your body, you will likely do best to find products that are 100% natural.

Eyebrow and eyelash serums, of course, come in all strengths and brandings, meaning that it can be difficult to find the right product for you – for both your cosmetic needs and your skin type.  For those of us with especially sensitive skin, there are a number of natural products that can be easily bought both in store and online that will work better with our body while also providing the effect that we need them to.  You should always read the label when it comes to skin creams and lotions – serums, too – as chemicals are largely buried in lists, and the less there are, the more likely you’ll suffer as a result.

Take it from us – it’s not difficult to find serums and skin applications that work well with sensitive skin.  You simply have to source out the most natural options available.  More and more of us are switching to pure creams, cleansers and beauty products, meaning that several brands and outlets are now actively targeting this market – so next time you’re out shopping for creams and lotions, be a bit more sensitive in terms of your buying choices and your skin will thank you for it!

LOOKING GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE MEANS TAKING CARE OF YOUR INSIDES

We’ve all seen the adverts and the promotions – many supermarket and pharmacy creams do really make a difference to the way our skin is hydrated and moisturised.  However, too many of us take these for granted – you can’t expect to have radiant, perfect skin simply by applying the odd layer of cream amid a diet of crisps and chocolate!  Treating yourself is healthy – but to look great on the outside, you are going to need to make sure that you respect your body’s insides, too.

Believe it or not, the majority of our bodies consist of water.  This means that, to stay hydrated and healthy, we need to drink plenty of it!  Naturally healthy-looking skin is promoted by a regular intake of water each day – pure water, unfettered by sugar and added fizz!  On top of this, while you may have heard it all before, fruit and vegetables work wonders for beautiful-looking skin – while you may be encouraged to take on five a day wherever you can, try not to count!  After just a few weeks of increasing your intake of fruit, vegetables and water – replacing anything artificial wherever you can – you will see the difference in your own skin.  It’s amazing how nutrition works – so let’s make the most of it!

We all have our weaknesses – wine, chocolate and other goodies – those of us looking for healthy bodies and naturally healthy skin need to start thinking about setting aside these treats for a special time of the week.  Try and introduce more fruit, veg and pure water into your diet but don’t deny yourself those treat days – and we’re certain that you’ll see the difference in your own skin in no time at all.  Try and make a few dietary adjustments and see how you fare!

THE NATURAL ROUTE TO BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY SKIN

Let’s face it – those of us of a certain age have made peace with the fact that our skin changes as we get older.  But how many of us know how to keep our skin looking healthy and vital without resorting to expensive lotions and potions?  You don’t need to fill your basket full of chemically-enhanced topical cream every time you visit the shops – there are much cheaper, and far more natural ways to make sure that your skin is healthy and full of life, and all it takes is a few tweaks to your daily intake!

Healthy and naturally glowing skin is no secret – there’s no special pill you need to mortgage your house for to buy – you simply need to focus on what you eat, what you drink, and what you put on your body.  A healthy diet is absolutely a priority for your wellbeing – and for your skin, food and vegetables rich in Vitamins C and E will boost that seemingly elusive glow.  This means making room for fruit such as oranges and strawberries, nuts, seeds and almonds, and even the odd sprig of broccoli – your diet shines through you.

You should also consider how much water you drink.  Healthy skin is hydrated – after all, it is made up of good old h20 in the majority – and if you’re drinking any less than around eight glasses per day, your skin may be missing out on its healthy potential.  If you drink plenty of tea or coffee in the day or wine in the evening, think about swapping out a cup or glass or two for plain, unsweetened water – you’ll be surprised how good you feel generally if you simply drink a little more.

Finally, let’s talk about creams.  There’s a market full of ‘expert recommended’ brands and various ointments that all argue that they are the best at hiding blemishes or moisturising – but the simple answer is, the more chemicals there are in a product, the more likely it is that they will dry you out or even cause soreness in the long run.  Natural or almost-natural creams, lotions and bathing products are available from high street stores and they’re often a fraction of the cost of your big name brands – why not swap a few items out of your toiletry bag for a week and see how you get on?

Everyone’s skin is slightly different, of course, but the facts stand!  Drink plenty, eat sensibly and avoid chemicals as far as you can – and you’ll be well on the road to healthy, great-looking skin at very little expense.

Get an Effective Product to Treat Your Skin

Your skin is the first thing people see and if yours is irritated or inflamed it may leave you lacking confidence. Whilst there are many lotions and potions on the market, a lot are often filled with chemicals that can irritate your skin even more. If you’re worried about dry, spotty or greasy skin it’s important to look for a product that contains mostly natural ingredients which are kinder to the skin.

Whilst it’s important to get an effective product to treat your skin from the outside, it’s just as important to consider what you’re putting into your body. A body that’s healthy and well hydrated is more likely to have beautiful skin then one that doesn’t. The most important beauty tip you should consider is to drink as much water as you can in order to ensure your body remains well hydrated. Try to drink the water slowly through out the day to avoid being in the toilet every 5 minutes.

Whether you’re a gym bunny or you prefer an evening run, exercise is a fantastic way of getting your body working and eliminating toxins. As you work out your body will start to sweat and this will open your pores releasing any dirt or other impurities. Exercising is also a great way of releasing endorphins, the happy chemical that will make you feel happy and leave your skin glowing.

When you’re thinking of how to improve your skin, you should consider your diet and the food you’re putting into your body. If you’re eating a lot of junk food your body is not getting the vital vitamins that it would absorb from fruit and vegetables. This results in dull or lacklustre skin and won’t help you get that glow you desire. Essential minerals you should try to include in your diet are sulphur which you can find in eggs and green vegetables such as broccoli, and zinc which you can find in sunflower seeds.

It’s important to give your skin time to breathe so going without make-up once a week is a great way of giving your pores a break.

Once you’ve taken care of your skin from the inside you should consider the kind of products that will be kind to your skin. Often you can find skin serums or creams that contains ingredients such as rose or cucumber that are completely natural and gentle on the skin. Look for a product that is as natural as possible without added parabens, GM ingredients or other silicone based products.

Once you start to take action you will start to notice a difference in your skin and how you feel inside. Over time your confidence will start to grow and you’ll be able to approach the world with your head held up high.

LOVE YOURSELF ENOUGH TO LIVE HEALTHY

Remember, the difference between who you are and what you want to be is what you do about it. No-one can hand it to you on a silver platter, served up as health. You alone must recognise your own true worth. Healthy lifestyle isn’t about diets and great looking legs, although that’s a by-product of changing your lifestyle for sure.

When you look in the mirror what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Nearly ALL women and some men too, don’t like all of what they see. They want better hair, nails, skin; well, there isn’t any reason you can’t have it. And, get to keep it your whole life. The only thing stopping you is you. If you’re one of those people who want quick fix remedies for everything in life, then don’t read on-or maybe you should!

Quick fix remedies for all life’s problems are not the answer. Have you ever heard the saying, “you are what you eat” well, it just happens to be true, in-fact you are also what you do? If you want to make positive changes in your life you need to start by changing your lifestyle NOT your diet. Being healthy is about caring for yourself enough to make the lifelong changes necessary for excellent health.

It usually takes a few days to get into the new habits that will support your new lifestyle but stick with it, don’t go back to what is familiar, stay strong and cling to the new-found beliefs about yourself and the change will come. In fact your beliefs about yourself are integral to your lifestyle changes. Scientifically, being positive uses less energy than being negative so next time you find yourself grumbling or having a negative thought about yourself, know that it’s just a bad habit you have learned and you can unlearn it quickly. Just keep replacing the bad thoughts with alternative good ones. This feels strange at first but when you get used to it it becomes the new habit and hey presto!!

HEALTHY ISN’T A GOAL-IT’S A WAY OF LIFE
The body is a temple and deserves your attention day and night to care for every part of it both externally and internally.Think about this for a moment because it will make sense to you once you understand the implications. If you feed your child unhealthy foods all its life no doubt he/she will grow up very unhealthy and, worse, have those same yearnings for BAD foods. This eventually turns to an unhealthy lifestyle through years of abuse. Literally, when you are feeding yourself and your family BAD food you should know it is a form of self-abuse, self-sabotage in action. This isn’t necessarily your fault. Now, to stop all the years of abuse means having positive beliefs and courage to know you CAN do this. You can reverse the unhealthy to healthy.

Start by eating healthy -energy proving foods like vegetables: Cabbages, kale, Broccoli, carrots, leeks, root vegetables are best. They grow upwards from the ground and are known to be beneficial to healthy skin, nails, hair, but also, they feed the internal organs and blood supply the nutrients it needs to produce energy. You’ll notice the difference in your health after a little as a week when you throw away all the junk TV watching foods and replace it with all healthy types. Thinking about that, TVs make us lazy, it’s distracting us from real life, we go into a semi-conscious state watching it, and then switch it off to realise we just ate a whole bag of crisps and a big bar of chocolate!

MOTIVATE THE MIND AND THE BODY WILL FOLLOW

Your mindset is everything. Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you might write down. It also recognises when you’re trying to fool yourself. Why? Because it’s the most advanced and excellent creation on planet earth. You might hold the key to your body on earth, but your body can choose to accept or reject it. The body’s signals are often subtle to start with, when something is wrong, you’ll get spots on your face, or blotches. Time to take care of the skin, how? Eating healthy food, the root vegetables I mentioned, fruits, are great too, try to eat them in season, and your body clock is in perfect union with nature. Go for apples, oranges, kiwi fruits, bananas, plums, and one of my favourites for blood cleansing, pomegranate. The best thing is to start investigating what fresh foods are available in your area and go from there. There may be items you need to order on the internet from health shops but, once you get used to eating healthily, so your body adjusts to its new-found wellness. By the way, once you’ve adapted to a healthy lifestyle your body will fight to keep it, so be warned!

Drink plenty of water, try not to go for plain old tap-water, but filtered water, or bottled water, preferably spring water, not the carbonated stuff. One of my favourites is drinking a tall glass of pure water with a slice of lemon and ice, with a sprig of fresh mint on top. Lemons are blood cleansers and kill bacteria in the gut, and mint is cooling and helps digestion. Remember-Healthy Life, healthy body, healthy mind all go hand in glove.
