The morning race to look beautiful

I recently had a long weekend with some old uni friends that I don’t get to see very often so it was great for us to catch up with each other. We hired a cottage near Exmoor and had an amazing time hiking (burning lots of calories) then spend lazy evenings sipping hot chocolate (and wine) and toasting marshmallows (piling those calories back on!) in front of a roaring fire.

On Sunday I was woken up at about 7 am to the sounds of chattering in the bathroom to find two of my friends were still in their obligatory onesies but were putting on make-up. I was surprised when they both admitted that they always got up early so that nobody else (particularly their partners) would see them without their make-up on.

Fiona told me that her eyebrows were so thin that she literally felt her face looked naked without make-up and said “it’s OK for you with your lovely thick eyebrows”. Fiona was a bit put out that I started laughing until I explained that it was because she had reminded me of something I’d read in Laurence J Peter’s book, Peter’s Almanac.

“Always remember that true beauty comes from within — from within bottles, jars, compacts, and tubes”

I confessed that my ‘natural’ eyebrows had a little help and shared the secret of Kiy-oshi serums.

I realised that both friends thought that eyebrows could only be enhanced with make-up or cosmetic procedures (like dying) but that’s actually not true. Kiy-oshi enhancer eyebrow serum is made of natural ingredients and is something that you apply gently to the eyebrows. You only need to apply a little drop on your eyebrows each night, just before bed. I do it just after I’ve brushed my teeth and washed and dried my face and it’s a simple part of my usual beauty routine.

It takes a few weeks to see the results, (it was about 6 weeks for me) but now my eyebrows look thicker and fuller. Fiona pulled up a photo of us at our graduation party and I have to say that the difference in my eyebrows was pretty obvious.

Although it takes a few weeks for the results to show I also like the fact that using Kiy-oshi enhancer eyebrow serum nightly means that the results are sustained.

Both friends were hooked by the idea and immediately ordered their own from our website. If my boss is reading this – perhaps I should have some commission?

So if you feel the need to race to the bathroom clutching your make-up bag every morning, don’t forget we currently have a 20% discount if you buy both the eyelash and eyebrow serums together. Perfect for saving money and getting an extra 10 minutes in bed on a cold, grey morning.

Why natural beauty products are important

Hi, I’m Victoria and I work with Kiy-oshi – Beauty of the East. Welcome to my blog where I’ll be sharing my thoughts (and probably a bit too much) with you. If you have any comments or want to know more about Kiy-oshi and our products, please just email me at admin@kiy-oshi.com

Why natural beauty products are important

Yesterday morning I woke up and didn’t have to look in the mirror! It was bad – my dog didn’t actually seem to recognise me which was a worry.

Late nights and a bit (well, a rather lot if we’re truthful) of over indulgence at Christmas has left me both looking and feeling not quite my best. It’s time to cut down on cocktails and party fare for sure.

It’s all reminded me that I really need to take care of myself.

Thank goodness I’ve already converted to using natural beauty products. In my teens (which was of course just a couple of years ago!) I used everything and anything. If it was cheap – ever better because it was within my “Saturday working” budget. I really slapped on the make-up and beauty products without a care in the world.

Then, when I was about 17, I got an outbreak (and I mean total invasion) of spots on my face. I sat down and had a chat with my dear Mum who gently pointed out something she had been saying (I called it nagging back then) for years – all those chemicals on my face were not doing my skin any good.

The spots were so horrendous that I vowed to buy natural products and apart from a few minor flings with hair dyes in my very early 20’s I’ve done that. I recently took one of those “guess your age from your skin tests” and whilst I’m not sure how scientifically accurate they are, I was rather pleased to be eight years younger.

However, it’s only since I became involved in Kiy-oshi that I’ve really appreciated the importance of natural ingredients and natural products. Did you know that using natural products means

  • you can avoid irritation – yes, I can testify to that one, but I hadn’t realised that so many people are allergic to chemicals in beauty products
  • no nasty side-effects such as headaches from the cocktail of smells that are in chemical products – they cause migraines too
  • final results may take a little longer but they last longer too
  • you can show the environment that you love it – think about what goes into our water and air from manufacturing chemicals

I have to say that Kiy-oshi natural products are a godsend. Until I started using them I struggled to find a natural way to thicken and increase the length of my eyelashes and eyebrows. Now, with regular use of both the eyelash and eyebrow serums I definitely have thicker eyebrows and longer lashes. Result!

If you’d like to try them we’ve currently got a 20% discount if you buy both the eyelash and eyebrow serums together. Perfect for perfecting your look and saving money too.
